* Military: Navy's Brown Water-Black Beret unit

Left for Vietnam: January 1969.

Injured: July 26, 1969

Returned home: Fall 1970

* Family: wife, Brenda and two children, Matthew and Kim, and four grandchildren

* His work: Christian minister and motivational speaker, addressing schools, military groups, corporations. For 18 years, hosted nationally syndicated Christian TV show: Dave Roever Presents

* Founder: Roever Evangelistic Association and Roever Educational Assistance Programs, Fort Worth, Texas, and Eagle Summit Ranch, Westcliffe.
