DNC Chairman Gov. Howard Dean enters the Pepsi Center as he tours the facility Wednesday. He thanked the workers that have been rearranging the arena for the August convention.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean is at the Pepsi Center this afternoon - his first visit to the facility since it began the transformation to becoming his party's political epicenter next month.

The Pepsi Center already has changed a lot. The parking lot is full of large white tents and loud saws cut through the air and planks of wood.

Dean's walk-through today, accompanied by DNC Committee Chief Executive Officer Leah Daughtry, is a chance for him to personally see how things are progressing for the Aug. 25-28 event.

Officials with the DNCC have said the preparation is going well, with thousands of miles of cable being laid down and luxury boxes being converted to media studios.

Dean will stay the night in Denver and then tour Invesco Field tomorrow - his first look at the site where Sen. Barack Obama will accept his party's nomination the last night of the convention.
